Lace.
This is my progress at the end of the first repeat of chart 3. I'm dreaming of upcoming lace projects! Okay, so I'm not so great yet at photographing lace. Oh well.
I am finished piecing together Blankie from Rowan Classic Babies. All I have left is to line the back. Stitching together all the squares nearly drove me mad, but it will be worth it when I can send it to my friend in Houston.
Chart 1 is complete. Bring it on, chart 2! Show me what you got.
Okay, maybe I shouldn't be so overzealous. This is my very first lace project, and I am really enjoying the challenge. I started reading about lace knitting and stumbled across Heirloom Knitting. You know how when you pilfer through knitting books, you stop and contemplate which projects you'd knit, which yarn you'd use, and what it would be like...it's like you've already knitted it...but it's really only in your mind? Well, I've already knit a wedding ring shawl in cobweb weight yarn...in my mind. Maybe I'm losing my mind.
