Working on Cardi Raye has been rewarding lately. I seamed and seamed all Saturday afternoon. Seaming stripes isn't really my favorite, but I got a good amount done. Soon I will set in the sleeves and attach the neckband. Wearing this will be such delayed gratification. A year in the making!
Also, we are in the process of buying our first house...so is my very own knitting room in the near future?...Yes, I think so!
Ladies and gentlemen, may I now present the Chanukah yarn:
This tiny piece of yarn is all that's left of the purple Phildar Licorne from Cardi Raye. I just knew I would have to borrow a little snippet from Kimberly, but I kept knitting and knitting -- and somehow it lasted through all those remaining rows. I'm on the last two colors now, so the finish line is oh so close.
The "second sock" is definitely no fun. But I finished nonetheless. Nothing but finishing going on here at Yarngirls. Now onto the last few inches of Cardi Raye! Then and only then will I cast on for Martha from Rowan 37. This will be my first beading extravaganza. Cannot wait...
It was a joy knitting this sweater. The sleeves are a bit longer than I'd like, but it's cozy and wonderful, so I'm not changing a thing.
