Hello everybody! I've been knitting, believe it or not. Somehow I've managed to find time to start a new project despite moving across country, changing careers, and trying to start over completely. It has definitely been a tough and busy 6 weeks. Paul and I have met lots of nice people. I think they call it southern hospitality.
The knitting shops here are not so great. Looks like I'll be buying most of my goods online. But hey...that's the world we live in now anyway.
I am making the hourglass raglan from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts. I feel like I've been only making things from this book lately. I guess it's a good one!
Kimberly sent me a lovely gift of Classic Elite Posh yarn (cashmere/silk). Yee-haw! So I am making this simple, gorgeous classic sweater. Considering it is all stockinette (in the round) -- now my new fave -- it is moving along rather quickly. I have been able to make decent progress while watching TV and decompressing after my long arduous days as a professor.
Oh, by the way, I found out why my knitting stash was getting messed up... some of you may remember monkey.
