I've got a decent start on the front of the chevron rib tank. I can't wait to see this one all finished up!
You may have noticed that I got rid of the pink background. I think it was time to move on to something different. I'm slowly adding links and things back into the sidebar.
A little knitting progress was made this weekend. I finished the back of the chevron rib tank. Now I will start the front tonight! What else?...hmmm. Not much. Where did the weekend go?
Pardon the gorgeous flash photography.
Here's a little progress on my chevron rib tank. Blue Sky Organic Cotton is a real delight. It's almost too soft to be true.
Just to keep things exciting, I think I'll give you updates on this one every few inches.
Not really.
I forgot some major knitting content from the weekend. On Saturday, I went to the Fabulous Fiber Fest in Santa Monica. I nearly passed out as I witnessed lace being made right in front of my eyes. This stuff made fair isle look like a walk in the park. The word tedious just rolls off these ladies' backs.
The highlight was a trip to the Habu booth. I wanted to see what all these New York ladies have been raving about.
I had no new projects in mind, so I really didn't know what to buy...but I loved what I saw, so I purchased a sample card, which is backordered until mid-October. They said they have a list of 100 people who are waiting for a sample book as well...business must be great at Habu.
I flitted around last night and worked a little bit on all four of my projects. Nice evening.

The front of the paper tank is complete. The back is about 20 percent done...more to come after an evening of t.v. tonight. This is an extremely quick knit.
I must have will power! I refuse to start any new projects until I make some major progress on existing WIPs:
baby sweater
Chevron rib tank
fuzzy scarf for friend of a friend
cardi raye
secret project for my brother
I know many of you think that R2 is a load of crap, to boldly borrow one of my favorite British sayings. But I think it's fun, especially when I saw that one of my local yarn shops had all their R2 stuff marked 30% off. I don't mean to say that it's the best thing ever, but it's fun, light summer knitting.
1 paper tank top coming up!
I finally spent time deleting all of those nasty spam comments that attacked my page while I was away on my honeymoon. My apologies to anyone who had to look at that garbage.
I may make a few changes to yarngirls, but mainly I want to spend my time knitting! Wow, I've seen some great stuff out there. Reverie Knits is currently inspiring me. Tons of awesome projects have been flying off her needles over the past few months. Check out her classy blog.
It's so hard to get back in the swing of blogging after being away for so long. At this point, it seems weird to share tiny details...I want to have big knitting news to share, but there is none right now. So maybe I'll just write a bit.
Today at lunch I am finishing the last few rows of a co-worker-baby-gift. I want to have it out of the way and done. Cardi raye is still crying out my name. The back is sooooo close to being done. I am being such a negligent knitter by not just finishing it! Ha ha, but I cast on for a new project. THAT, I'm good at. It is the chevron ribbed tank from interweave online (a while back). Blue Sky Organic cotton is so soft -- I can't take it!!!
I am digging a few of Rowan's new things. There's not much out of #36 that I actually want to make this time. But I want to take a closer look at Vintage Style when it arrives.
Six Feet Under has taken a dark turn lately. No longer dark comedy -- just dark. Do they have a new writer?
I'm back from my honeymoon in southern Italy...To tell you how it was, all I have to do is show you this photo:
And if you're wondering what I'm doing...yup, you guessed it!
