Finished Ene's Scarf!

Something is wrong here, and I can't seem to upload a picture of the finished lace!! Argh...But believe me when I say it's done, and I am loving it. I have already cast on for my next project, which is Frosted Flowers and Leaves from "A Gathering of Lace."

Wow...I never thought I would have what it takes to knit lace, but it truly is attainable. I sound like I am all zen-ned out and enlightened. Ha ha...you're always only one dropped yarn over away from disaster, so I'll try to remember not to become too brazen.

In other knitting knews, I completely finished Blankie -- including the soft flannel lining on the back. I am mailing it off tomorrow to my old high school pal. She will definitely be surprised by it. I love giving knitting gifts!

In the dreaded "waiting to be finished" queue:
Beaded Martha -- you are painful to work on, but I love the way your finished pieces look.
Husband Necktie -- you are killing me, I can't stand you anymore. Good thing I only feel this way about the necktie and not the husband.

Wow, I never realized that I have some pretty intense animosity toward some of my knits.

I am sensing some major felting in the near future. A felted bag that shall remain nameless and possibly the Nicky Epstein floral felted bag from awhile back in Interweave Knits. Yes, I know I must be a bit insane.

A trip to LA this week, just weeks before we move back! Woo hoo! I will knit a baby hat on the plane, and hopefully hit a few of my old haunts (aka yarn shops) while I'm there.

See you soon with pics as soon as Movable Type starts cooperating.
