Lucky star

My LYS had Classic Elite Star (1% lycra) in their clearance bin, so I couldn't help myself...here is the first half of my new bikini top from Stitch n Bitch! I guess that bright orange from the cardi raye stuck with me. This is a fun, very fast knit.

Also, yesterday was such a gorgeous day, I took a trip to Little Tokyo downtown (Los Angeles) in search of fun knitting books. My eye was drawn to the cute toys and dolls, which mostly turned out to be crochet. I also found a book of patterns for awesome fabric bags.

Your bikini is very cute. I'm thinking about making the Wonder Woman one. When I was little, I ran around in just my little Wonder Woman Under-roos. I'm thinking this is the big girl version of Under-roos. Ahh, nostalgia!

Your bikini top looks great! I started this same suit as well but put it down since I started the back side of the bottoms. Confusing....Once you finish the crotch panel and start the back, do you have time to let me know how the increases work? It must be something so simple that it is flying right over my head!
Thanks - Mindy

Oh to be young again!!! Like your top!! Could you add my name to your CardiRayeAlong. I am on Allison's list also and I see she is just starting as well. I like to think of this as a restart. But I am finished with the back and have half the fronts started. I'll sends pictures when camera is available. I'm glad to see and read about the Pia tank from #35. I have just received the yarn for mine. But, must finish the Cardi first. Happy Knitting!

Hiya, I'm a knitter (no blog...yet) and jeweler in Laguna Beach. Went to LA myself the other day. I know all the bead places none of the yarn places. Can you clue me in? On the patterns you got do you read that language?

Killer. Great colors. Orange and blue love each other like peanut butter and jelly, or maybe grilled pineapple and barbecue sauce.
