Have you ever had one of those days where you just keep getting interrupted? I can't seem to get more than a row or two knitted without the phone ringing or something annoying...
I was swamped this week, so I'm still on the bottom ribbing of Pia's front. But it's going well.
alert *crochet content below* I hope everyone can handle it.
I was thinking about something the other day. I first read about Clare Crespo ages ago. Her crocheted sushi and other food is just awesome, and I remember being so interested in it at the time that I told some of my co-workers about this lady I read about who crocheted sushi. Now, this seemed so clear to me. But after a few people's comments, I realized that they thought I meant she was crocheting items with sushi rather than with yarn. Hello out there. What is wrong with these people? Can you imagine actually crocheting with raw fish? Wow, that would really make for a great sweater. And I think you'd have to add a new "ball" of yarn/yellowtail like every, mmm, two stitches or so. Clearly these co-workers of mine are not the fiber arts-loving type. Maybe I need to switch to a new industry.
Posted by angela at March 19, 2004 05:10 PMHow timely. I am crocheting the edging on my critter knitters blanket and I was trying to imagine how to break the news gently to knitland. Now I can say "Hey! Angela posted crochet content first!"
Posted by: jen at March 19, 2004 06:10 PMThat is hilarious. I mean, everybody knows that it's easier to crochet with noodles, right? ;)
Posted by: alison at March 19, 2004 09:02 PMAnd I have to wonder just how long would you be able to hold on to a sweater crocheted in raw fish. I should really be asking who would wear a sweater made of raw fish, but I've been reading Anita Blake so that doesn't seem as odd to me.
I just don't get non-fibre people. ;-)
