Progress

This picture was from a few days ago. Now I am past the armhole decreases and am making my straightaway toward the neckline! I'm getting excited. Of course, I'm dreaming of other projects ahead...probably the cardi raye, some mittens, a wedding kippah.

I am loving the book "Weekend Knitting." It is just a sweet little book filled with elegant, interesting info. I want to make those little elf shoes. I have no idea what I would do with them, but sometimes knitting isn't about practicality, is it?

I went to my book club last week. This was my first meeting with them, and I didn't finish the book! I felt like such a horrible student. When I got there, about half of the group had not read it either. Whew! I was in good company I suppose. The girl running the meeting said that she didn't really know how to start because at her last book club, all they did was drink and talk and get drunk, and they never actually talked about any of the books. We picked "Cold Mountain" for the next meeting. I have read 2 pages so far. This is really going to cut into my knitting time. Hmmm. Have to think this over carefully.

My holiday shopping is just about finished. I think I lack only 2 small gifts. Considering that today is probably my last day of work this year, I should have no problem!

reading cutting into your knitting time?
here's a remedy: learn to knit continental style.
it allows me to knit while reading.
unless i'm working on some lacy type of pattern.
