I returned to work after a week off, and nothing had changed! See, nothing blew up without my being here, which proves that I really don't need to come back ever. Ok, exit fantasy.
Speaking of, I dreamed last night that I was a news reporter interviewing Henry Rollins on some urgent global/political topic. When he realized how sophisticated and intelligent I was, he gave me his phone number. Ha ha. How funny is that?
I'm back to some regular knitting time now that I'm working. Being off is cool for getting tons of things checked off the "to do" list, but it interrupts the regular stuff like knitting in the evenings and during the day (at work!).
I am researching this cool thing right now for my wedding next summer. It is a honeymoon registry. Has anyone out there tried this? You create a custom list of things that your family and friends can buy for you just like a regular gift registry. The examples have things like "romantic dinner for two overlooking the Mediterranean," or "day of snorkling in xyz." I think it's a snazzy idea. And for all the people who think it's rubbish, we'll do a regular gift registry with dishes and cookware and stuff like that too.
Does it annoy anyone else when a non-knitter sees you knitting and says, "Knit one, purl two"? That is so lame.
Posted by angela at December 4, 2003 03:36 PMYeah that is super annoying, or wow you can make your own sweaters to save money. yeah right. the first yarn i ever picked out for my very first simple sweater was $275.00. I remember the day that I called you on the cell phone to tell you that I was taking up knitting and your exact words were "Welcome to the most expensive habit/hobby/addiction you will ever have." I love this addiction!!!!!
